April 14: All round the globe, Roman Catholic Christians celebrated Palm Sunday which is considered as a Holy Day. Our Lady of Health Church Shirva also celebrated this holy day with great devotion. V. Rev. Fr. Denis D’Sa (Parish Priest) was the main celebrant who started off the proceedings by blessings the Palm followed by a procession from Rev. Hilary Rangamantapa near St. Mary’s Jr. College to Our Lady of Health Church. Fr. Mahesh D’Souza, Fr. Ashwin Aranha, Fr. Sunil, Fr. Leandro and Deacon Noel Mascarenhas were a part of this ceremony. Nearly 1200 parishioners had participated in this Holy Day celebration. Members of the Parish Council had taken the initiative in smooth conduction of the procession.
