Feast of St. Francis of Assisi

On 7th October 2018, The feast of St. Francis of Assisi was celebrated at Our Lady of Health Church Shirva in a very humble way. Saturday 6th October evening mass and Sunday 7th October  mass liturgy was conducted by the brothers and sisters of ‘Secular Fransiscan Order’ <OFS-ORDO FRANCISCAN SAECULARS>

After the Sunday Holy Mass, a get together programme was arranged in Don Bosco Audio Visual Hall. Rev. Fr. Ashwin Aranha, Mr. Melwyn Aranha were the chief guest. OFS President  Mrs Irene Ida Lobo, Vice President Irwin D’Souza, Secretary Jerald Rodrigues, Training instructor Mrs Irene Lasrado and our parish council secretary Mrs Leena Machado were present on the dias along with out chief guest. OFS President welcomed the gathering, secretary Mr Jerald Rodrigues read the annual report stating mission of the order, its activities, agenda, strength of members and way of conducting atov (prayer meeting). Fr. Ashwin Aranha and Melwyn Aranha wished President and members a blessed feast and shared their valuable views. Mr Jerald Rodrigues proposed the vote of Thanks.
