A half day Workshop on Liturgical Singing was organised by Shirva Parish on 26-08-2018 from 9:00 AM till 12:30 PM. Rev. Fr. Dr. Ronald Serrao, Prof. St Joseph Seminary, Jeppu, Mangalore was the resource person. He explained how important in Liturgical Singing and presented systematic steps to conduct it. A total of 46 participants including Pernal and Palimar Parish Choir group. V. Rev. Fr. Denis D’Sa, Rev. Fr. Mahesh D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Ashwin Aranha, Mr. Wilson D’Souza were present during this workshop. The Animator of Commission for Liturgy Mrs. Diana Saldanha welcomed the gathering and Secretary Mrs. Leena D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.

Our Lady of Health Church Shirva and Catholic Sabha Shirva Varado helped the flood affected people in Kerala by sending fully loaded flood relief materials on 24 -8-2018 from Shirva. Rev Fr. Denis Dsa and Fr. Ashwin Arahna and Catholic Sabha members were present. Fr. Ashwin Arahna prayed along with the catholic sabha members for the flood affected people.

The elocution Competition was held on 22nd August by Catholic Sabah Shirva. The competition had begun at 10:00 a.m. Our parish priest Rev. Fr. Denis D’sa , Assistant parish priest Fr. Ashwin Aranha , Shirva Deanery President of Catholic Sabah Mrs. Maria Jecintha Mathias and all the members of Catholic Sabha Shirva unit were present. Fr. Ashwin Aranha distributed the prizes to the winners of the competition and addressed the gathering.

Our Lady of Health Church Shirva Parish and Don Bosco/ St Marys educational institutions extending their help to Kerala flood affected people on 20-08-2018.

 

 

Commission for Laity under Our Lady of Health Church Shirva organized ward representative training on 19-08-2018 from 9:30 AM till 12:30 PM in Don Bosco CBSE Audio Visual Hall. Ward representatives from Shirva, Pilar and Pernal parish attended this programme. Most Rev. Dr. Jerald Issac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese carried out the training session to all the gathered members. V. Rev. Fr. Denis D’Sa were also present during this programme. Mrs. Lorita D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Bishop elaborated the responsibilities of Ward representatives. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Melwyn D’Souza and Mrs. Nancy Machado was the host for the programme.
